Deflector, bell, smasher for boiler with EKOENERGY feeder
Deflector for a furnace with a screw feeder, otherwise known as a radiant heater or firebreaker. For feeders from 15 kW to 75 kW. It is made of the highest quality cast iron. It has dimensions of 240 mm x 180 mm, which makes it suitable for most feeders in the range of these powers. It can also be used in feeders from other manufacturers, which have a channel (longitudinal) hearth. The deflector has a hole with an M12 internal thread. Thanks to this, you can adjust the appropriate height at which the deflector will hang over the hearth. However, the recommended height of placing the deflector above the hearth is approx. 15 cm. Due to the heavy weight of this item, it will be shipped via courier.

CAST IRON DEFLECTOR FOR EKOENERGIA FEEDER WITH POWER 15-25 kW and 15-35 kW
Special features:
high quality cast iron
weight about 5.6 kg
high quality
DEFLECTOR DIMENSIONS
length: 240mm
width: 180mm
thickness: 45 mm (includes the place with the hole)
mounting thread: M12
CAUTION! Do not install the cold deflector, right away after receiving the shipment. It is recommended to put the deflector on the flue so that it gradually reaches the temperature inside the boiler. Incorrect assembly may cause faster wear, cracks and even breakage of the deflector immediately after firing up, which is not subject to complaint.

The coal combustion process does not end in the hearth. Combustion products, which always contain certain amounts of combustible substances (gases, tar vapors and soot), are discharged from the retort furnace, which should burn out in the combustion chamber above the burner. Four factors are necessary for combustion: the presence of air (oxygen), good mixing of the combustible substances with air, sufficient contact time of the combustible substances with air, and a temperature above the ignition temperature of the combustible substances. If the unburned combustion products from the furnace hit the cold water coatings with a temperature not exceeding 150°C prematurely (walls of the water jacket or emergency water grate), the combustion is interrupted and the unburned exhaust gases go to the exchanger, which results in the condensation (liquefaction) of the tar on the cooling surfaces. Dust and soot settle very easily on the tar, which together with the polymerized - over time - tar form hard-to-remove deposits with highly insulating properties.
The deflector mounted in the boiler above the burner is designed to mix exhaust gas and air and maintain high temperature in the combustion environment. It is usually a very flat cast iron or ceramic cylinder with a diameter of 180-300 mm and a height of 20-45 mm (cast iron) or 30-50 mm (ceramic), mounted at a height of 100-150 mm above the upper edge of the burner. Numerous studies have proven conclusively that its presence is necessary from the point of view of exhaust gas purity and heat exchanger efficiency.
