Description of the PellPal 8kw pellet boiler |
The PellPal boiler with a power of 8 kW is ideal for heating rooms with an area of up to 100 m² and heating water in domestic hot water systems. It is designed to burn wood pellets with a diameter of 6 to 8 mm.
The device is characterized by high efficiency of 90.9%. In tests, it obtained class 5 in accordance with the EN 303-5 standard and meets the requirements of ecodesign (EcoDesign). The boiler has energy class A+. PM dust emission is below 20 mg/m³, which allows for obtaining higher funding for boiler replacement.
The boiler design is based on an exchanger with horizontal convection channels. The fuel tank is located next to the boiler. A modern QPELL pellet burner is placed in the lower door of the body, to which the fuel is supplied by a screw feeder and poured through a spiro pipe. This pipe protects the fuel tank from the penetration of fire. The chimney outlet (flue) is located in the upper part of the boiler body on its rear wall at an angle of 45 degrees.
The combustion process, supplying the appropriate dose of fuel to the burner, lighting up and the operation of the blower fan located in the burner are controlled by the PellPal PID Pellet microprocessor controller. Additionally, the boiler is equipped with a controller with an LCD display, which increases the comfort of operation.
The boiler can operate in an open system, equipped with an open expansion tank, as well as in a closed system, requiring additional elements, such as an external cooling coil, DBV 2 safety valve, SYR 5067 thermal protection valve and an expansion tank. Depending on the selected protection method, appropriate elements should be used.
The boiler has a class 5 certificate in accordance with the PN-EN 303-5:2012 standard and meets the Ecodesign requirements.

The PELLPAL controller with 4.3-inch color LCD display supports the following features:
- automatic pellet igniter,
- pellet feeder,
- central heating pump (with time zone settings on the boiler),
- domestic hot water loading pump (with time zone settings for domestic hot water),
- circulation pump (with time zone settings for circulation),
- boiler pump (return protection),
- mixing valve actuator,
- blower,
- weather sensor (weather control of the mixing valve system),
- USB port for updating the controller software,
- boiler operation graphs.
The PELLPAL PID controller is equipped with a PID algorithm that allows flexible combustion, minimizing the need for user interaction with the device. The temperature controller with this algorithm adjusts the boiler power to the current heat demand, which ensures continuous operation without downtime and stable outlet water temperature.
Power regulation is performed in 1% steps, starting from the minimum power of 20% to the maximum of 100%. If the boiler temperature exceeds the set point by 5°C, the boiler automatically turns off. However, when the temperature drops 5°C below the set point, the boiler automatically ignites. The controller independently selects the fuel dosing pauses, feeder operation time and air volume, while the user only sets the output parameters in the controller.
