The thermostatic head of the regulator, under the influence of water temperature fluctuations in the boiler, opens or closes the shutter by means of a lever and a chain or cord, increasing or decreasing the air supply to the furnace. The draft regulator is installed by screwing it directly into the water jacket. The desired boiler temperature is set by setting the setting knob on the regulator.

Chimney draft regulators (combustion regulators) - are used to control the operation of a solid fuel boiler as an alternative to electronic controllers. The thermostatic head of the regulator, depending on the temperature of the water in the boiler, opens or closes the movable flap regulating the air supply to the combustion chamber by means of a lever and a chain. Smooth range of temperature control and high quality of workmanship ensure comfortable operation of the boiler and large savings of solid fuel.
The regulator works with the use of bimetal, which works under the influence of temperature changes.
The adjustment field is from 30°C to 100°C, the shift of the chain is about:
- 12 mm / 10°C with an arm extension of 190 mm, for a useful power of 1 kg
- 7 mm / 10°C at 115 mm arm extension, for 1.6 kg useful power
